KCM Super Bowl LIV Watch Party
Katy Christian Ministries is set to host its first Super Bowl Faith & Family Watch Party on Feb. 2 at the Waters Church, 2710 N Mason Road in Katy. Mayor Bill Hastings, and Gary Mancini of Bugs Inc. will be grilling burgers while the kids enjoy the giant inflatable obstacle course provided by Grace Fellowship. Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for teens 13-17 and kids 12 and under are free with an adult. Tickets include your meal, and all proceeds benefit Katy Christian Ministries. Cane Island BBQ Cook Off
The Cane Island BBQ Cook Off will be Saturday, Feb, 8, from noon-5 p.m. at 2100 Cane Island Parkway. Kick off the start of the rodeo season with a BBQ cookoff. Teams are required to make one of the following: chicken, ribs, brisket, fajitas and pulled pork. There will be $5,000 in cash prizes. There’s a $100 cooker fee. Admission is $12 for adults and kids are admitted free. Ticket sales benefit the Krause Center, a Katy nonprofit. Each ticket will get you entry, sampling and a vote for Best Pulled Pork and a raffle ticket. Annual livestock show
The Katy Independent School District FFA Livestock Show opens Feb. 11 with a rabbit show and continues through the week with rodeo performances at 7 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, animal shows, a Saturday parade and a livestock auction. Katy Bubble Run
The Katy Bubble Run on March 28 will benefit five Katy-area charities.
