Blue Jean Ball returns
to Needville ISD
The sixth annual Blue Jean Ball, Needville Education Foundation’s (NEF) only major fundraiser each year, takes place from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at the Columbus Club Hall on Texas 36 South in Needville. Bayou Boys will cater a meal of catfish and roast beef with all the trimmings, including bread pudding for dessert. Shorty Yeaman will return as the auctioneer and Jody Teykl as the DJ. Live auction items include a country kitchen/patio set built by Needville Junior High shop teacher Werth Garrett and his students, wooden rockers from Needville High School shop teacher C.J. “Coach Mo” Mazac and his students and a wooden rocker with state emblem donated by Sen. Lois Kolkhorst.and much more. All proceeds from the Blue Jean Ball fund grants which help Needville ISD teachers better educate their students as they think outside the box and learn in innovate ways.
